I have been quilting for 30+ years having been taught by Canadian quilt teacher Lucy Anne Holiday when she lived in York for a few years before returning to Canada. Whilst I now use my sewing machine for a lot of my patchwork and quilting, and also for making bags which I also enjoy, my first love is still hand piecing and quilting, the same method I was taught by Lucy Anne.
I like traditional blocks but usually add a contemporary twist to them and sew these on the machine, but I use my own designs for my hand made pieces of work, which are mostly pictorial. I have put some photos of them below.
