I have been involved in needlework/crafts since I was 5 years old when my Grandma taught me to stitch hexagons! Following studying a Teaching and Art degree in the 90's, I spent almost 20 years in a range of Early Years and Primary education environments before leaving and setting up my own business as a textile artist and teacher. Having lived in UK, USA and Australia I have experienced the 'needlework world' in a variety of forms, which has changed and shaped me with each new experience. I have an evolving style of work which holds elements of many styles and influences within it. I am now self employed teaching patchwork and quilting, simple embroidery, designing and making my own work, patterns and accept commissions. My first love will always be to make something by hand, but I do use a machine when needed! :-)
