Newsletter Editor

Chris Burgess has been doing an amazing job editing our newsletter 'Culcita' over the past three plus years. Unfortunately, this means that  she has now come to the end of her term of office and so we are looking for a new editor.

Chris describes what is involved - "It is the role of the editor to disseminate information to the group, these include, seminar details, study day sessions and what’s on in the textile world, including exhibitions. The editor receives articles from the membership and these include book reviews and anything suitable for our readership, as well as reports on the Festival of quilts, the AGM and the seminar. These are mostly cut and pasted in the best way to fill the pages. The two lengthy editions are Jan/Feb and Sept and those who find it necessary receive a paper copy and the remainder receive an emailed copy. The short edition May/June is an e-copy only. I have found the role really enjoyable, it’s not onerous as there are only three editions and you get to read the articles before anyone else."

If you would be interested in taking on this role and being part of the friendly BQSG committee then please contact either Chris at newsbqsg@quiltersguild.org.uk or Janice, BQSG Co-ordinator at  bqsg@quiltersguild.org.uk
