Bowes Museum Quilt Exhibition Catalogue and Video

'North Country Quilts: In Celebration of New Aquisitions' - new dates and catalogue and a video!

As mentioned in a previous post Bowes museum are preparing for their new quilt exhibition 'North Country Quilts: In Celebration of New Aquisitions'. The new dates for this exhibition are now 17th May 2021 to 9th January 2022 and tickets must be booked in advance -  separate timed exhibition tickets (free) must also be booked as well as the entrance tickets.
A new catalogue which has been written by curator Joanna Hashagen and Quilt Historian Dorothy Osler accompanies the exhibition and is available from the Bowes Museum website page for the exhibition (not their shop). There is also a chance to buy a reprint of the catalogue for their 2000 exhibition ' North Country Quilts: Legend and Living Tradition' and a Sanderson Star Cushion Pattern which has been especially designed for the exhibition.

A virtual tour video showing the quilts on display and the facility to zoom in on each quilt is also free to view on the same page - well worth a look!
