A new and exciting exhibition entitled 'Textile Treasures' is to be held at Norwich Castle Museum from 23rd October 2021 - 20th February 2022 after having to be postponed due to Covid restrictions.
Details taken from their website say "Textile Treasures is a celebration of some of the best loved textiles in Norwich Castle’s nationally important Costume and Textile collection. The exhibition showcases local connections and personal histories as told through textiles created to provide comfort, care and as a medium for self-expression."
The textiles will be on open display, not behind glass and include patchwork, applique, and embroidery with many interesting pieces including The Brereton Tester Panel, The Bellamy Quilt and some of the Lorina Bulwer Letters as well as the recently donated Marsham Quilt.
The exhibition is supported by the Costume and Textile Association and more information and photos can be found on their website http://www.ctacostume.org.uk/textile-treasures.html
