Overview

The annual seminar is an important part of BQSG. Each year we choose a location where we can also visit a site or museum with interesting textiles or patchwork in the local area. Now extended to a weekend the seminar brings together serious researchers as well as those who are interested in hearing about quilts, textiles and quilt history without wanting to carry out personal research.

In addition to papers selected for presentation (see Research) there are often visits, talks and the opportunity to look at quilts brought by individual members. There are books for sale (and the occasional quilt) as well as time to talk with new and old friends about quilts, conservation, social history and quilt collections.

2018 sees the 20th anniversary of the first meeting of BQSG.  Details of the 2018 Seminar, including location and booking information will appear here in due course - please check back!
